इस पुस्‍तक में ओशो ने करुणा और क्रांति के मौलिक संबंध को दर्शाया है।
वे कहते हैं, “अगर करुणा आ जाए तो क्रांति अनिवार्य है। क्रांति सिर्फ करुणा की परिधि, छाया से ज्‍यादा नहीं है।। और जो क्रांति करुणा के बिना आयेगी, बहुत खतरनाक होगी। ऐसी बहुत-सी क्रांतियां हो चुकी हैं और वे जिस बीमारियों को दूर करती है, उनसे बड़ी बीमारियों को अपने पीछे छोड़ जाती है।” **
